- Cartons (cardboard boxes) of various sizes. All our boxes are double wall boxes, ensuring a strong solid almost unbreakable box. For example: Wine, groceries and general boxes for curtains and linen.
- Hanger packs are used to hang clothes on hangers.
- Bubble wrap and white paper (unprinted) cater for all your special wrapping needs during furniture removals.
- Plastic covers to protect all your mattresses, fabric and leather furniture (a service we supply free of charge)
- Paintings, Pictures and Mirrors are being wrapped with “Cushion Craft” for maximum protection.
- All our vehicles are equipped with clean durable packing blankets
How does the packing service work?
We offer different kinds of packing options to fit every need.
Full Packing Service:
With a full packing service we will come to your home and pack everything for you from A-Z. All items are then listed on an Inventory List that needs to be signed by one of our company staff members and the client on the day of the move after loading. All your valuables will be carefully wrapped and packed into cartons and your other furniture properly wrapped for maximum protection during the move.
- Depending on size of the move, packing and wrapping is usually done the day before the actual move, the packing of smaller moves will be done on the same day of the move.
- The cost of the full packing service, including the materials used, is carefully calculated and is included in the cost of your move,
- We can supply you with the materials and boxes
We can supply all packing materials, at wholesale prices for our clients to do their own packing & wrapping.
Viking Furniture Removals has the capacity to offer not only a professional furniture removal service but also secure storage facilities. Our storage units are dry and vermin free. Our facilities conform to all insurance company requirements for secure storage. The storage facility are protected by Nissi 24hr Armed response and alarms, your effects remain in the secure pallet until delivery takes place. The storage facilities are situated in a very safe area.
- Warehouse storage fee is charged monthly on a volume basis.
- Your furniture is stored in individual pallets (wooden containers) within our warehouse.
- The storage facility is serviced by pest control once a month.
Anything else I need to know about storage?
Insurance is not provided by Viking Furniture Removal for property stored with us. It is the responsibility of the client to provide insurance. Although our storage facilities are insured for nature disasters, fire and first theft.
Palletised storage is a requirement as stipulated by the AMOSA (Accredit mover of South Africa) standard.
